Well I'm out of the playoffs in both of my leagues. Set a new record for high score while still getting a loss in my BGP league and injuries killed me in my money league, had to start Beanie Wells and Jackie Battle last week...woof. But I figured other might still need advice. Post your questions...

I'm in the semi's of my $$ league. I've got some options at RB and WR this week.

We start 2 RB's, 2 WR's and flex from those groups.

 

Right now, leaning towards Rice, Jones, Jackson, Welker and Robinson. Anyone see anything better?

 

TE - Jimmy Graham or Antonio Gates?

The guys at ESPN seem to agree with you as they have Rice, Jones, and Jackson ranked higher than the other two. I would definitely say Welker and it sure seems like Romo likes Robinson, so I'd go with him too.

 

As for TE's I'd pick Jimmy Graham. I like him against the Vikings much more than Gates against the Ravens, although it could probably be a toss up.

 

Must be nice to have all those options haha!

I agree. Jones, Rice, and Jackson seem to be the most dependable producers out of those cited. I'd go Welker and Austin, but that's just me. And I'd go with Gates. Rivers and Co. are in must-win situations from here on out. Who does he look to the most and in the most crucial situations? Gates.

Which is why the Ravens are going to key on him big time and I think Jimmy Graham is the safer bet easily.

Rice @ SD-must start

Hillis@ARZ- think I'm gonna start him due to the favorable matchup and he appears to be getting healthy

 

Just don't know whether to go

Jacobs Vs WAS- he blew up last week but Bradshaw is back and should cut into his carries.

Kevin Smith @ OAK- when he's healthy he's a horse, but who knows? I'm hoping they'll rest him this week cause if I make it out of this week I'm gonna need him 100% in the championship...

Gates was a waiver wire pickup after the owner grew frustrated with him.

I think that I would. The double points is nice, but I just have a feeling that the Ravens are going to make sure to key on Gates. The Ravens have a lot to play for themselves still and they know that Gates is Rivers biggest weapon.

 

I think you probably can't go wrong either way. Gates and Graham are both likely to have good days, but I think Graham's chances are better against Minn.

I am in a keeper league. Lost in the playoffs and for some reason the league is setup to have consolation games. Without making it look too obvious, do you try to lose those games to have a better spot in that draft? Or does it really not matter since its a snake still?

Having a hard time on my flex position.

RBS: Foster, Matthews, R. Bush, Mcgahee.

WRs: Megatron, Austin, Colston.

3 RBs and 2 Wrs?

2 RBs and 3 Wrs?

And the combination.

 

Also QB: Stafford or Sanchez. Stafford has slid some since his injury. Sanchez had a nice fantasy week last week.

Sure it matters if there's a player you think you might be able to get higher up that you wouldn't get down low, but as with all snake drafts what helps you at the front hurts you at the back. So it also depends on where you want to draft from.

 

My personal feeling is that since it's a keeper league that the true studs of studs will be kept anyway, so I'd probably let the chips fall as they will.

I'm having a really hard time with my RB and WR decisions this week.

 

Pick 1 - Michael Bush (vs. Detroit) or Shonn Greene (at Philadelphia)

Pick 2 - Mike Wallace (at San Francisco), Dez Bryant (at Tampa Bay), Victor Cruz (vs. Washington)

 

The RB question is only a question because of how well Greene has been running lately. Philly doesn't have a great rushing defense, but neither does Detroit. I think Bush will get the larger workload. When I submitted my lineup on Sunday, I had Greene penciled in, but I'm starting to think it should be Bush.

 

The WR question has been a question for weeks now. Ever since I've picked up Cruz, he's been this blight that I couldn't make myself start. Well, I started him last week, over Wallace, and that worked out as Dez did better than both of them (thanks to one loooong TD) and Cruz and Wallace were equivalent. I had both Julio Jones and Nate Washington who did better, but no way I start either of them. This week, I currently have Bryant and Cruz going. I know I'm playing with fire if I bench Wallace, but I don't really like an injured Big Ben throwing to him. Once he got hurt the other day, I don't think Wallace had a single catch.

I always felt I did better in the middle of a snake draft. I won my division at pick # 5 and the winner of the other division picked #4. Of course Rivers picked with the #1 helped.

Foster and Bush, those two are no doubters for the RBs. Likewise, I don't think you can bench Colston or Megatron, despite Megatron's struggles of late.

 

I don't love either of your other matchups from the RBs. Mathews has rushed for 100+ in three straight games, but that was Denver, Jacksonville, and Buffalo. I expect him to have more of a game like he did against Chicago, which wasn't good. And McGahee has been the same way, running wild on poor rushing defenses and then not so great against good ones. New England's rushing defense is actually pretty good, while their passing defense is terrible. And you can bet they'll try to make Tebow throw. If it were me, I go 2 RBs and use all three of your WRs.
