I think his point was that FS was not stopping HHS on that drive, which is true.

The clock is part of the game ... if Highlands couldn't be stopped, as you posted, the clock shouldn't have mattered.

I wasn't at the game, so maybe I can't say for sure, but maybe Franklin-Simpson deserves a little more credit for keepig Highlands out of the end zone at the end of the half.

 

And yes, if Franklin-Simpson scored instead of fumbling at the 1, it's a 42-28 game. That is closer.

 

How would one more FS touchdown make it 42-28? Wasn't the final score 42-14? I know I'm old and my memory isn't very good but I'm pretty certain it was 42-14 and I'm pretty certain that a TD with the extra point is good for 7 points. FS could have had another score but for Highlands forcing and recovering the fumble and Highlands could have had another score but for FS playing good defense at the end of the first half, making the margin of victory the same if both teams had been able to score one more TD. At least that's the way I saw it.

FS had one kid that was very good. He ran the ball hard and was in on a ton of tackles. I believe he was. #4. FS surprised me with their overall speed.

 

I was very impressed with No. 4 and I was also very impressed with No. 63 of FS.

 

No. 63 played very well defensively and was very quick off the ball. He gave us problems in pass protection when we tried to block him one on one. Very nice swim move.

 

What really impressed me with No. 4, was his patience running the ball. He had great speed, but it was his ability to allow the D to overpursue and then cut back using his quickness in and through seams.

Im sure once spring practices come around you will see new faces appear.
