Glasgow 21 Christian Academy-Louisville 0

I'd say Glasgow had themselves a good night. They are suddenly the favorite in 2A!

Honestly, I don't know who the favorite is right now as any of the remaining 4 could pull it off..

Kind of surprised. Thought CAL had a good chance at an upset. They must've spent themselves last week against DeSales.

For anyone who was there, I'm guessing the Scotties eliminated their turnover issues from last week?

Certainly it could be anyone's game, but Glasgow did beat the #7 and #5 teams in 2A on successive weeks. They are now the highest rated team left. They may not be a prohibitive favorite, but the teams that were considered better have been eliminated.

They certainly don't need to overlook Murray, who seems to be peaking right now. I do think Glasgow will be a slight favorite from here out though.

Yea and maybe Holy Cross will show up and show everyone how they beat the #1 team in the state. They have gotten no respect all year so it looks like they will just have to take it themselves. It is time to see if what I have heard all year is true or not, NKY football is better than the rest of the state. I said it early on in the year, Holy Cross gets the lower rating because everyone knows they have to get past NCC. That was the only reason HC was rated in the lower end of top 10. Well they are past NCC lets see what happens.

You really believe Holy Cross gets a low rating because they would have to get past NCC? I'd say it is because before tonight their most consequential win was over Cooper.

I simply said that Glasgow is the favorite because they are the highest rated team left. That is all. You guys seem to be really taking that to heart.

Holy Cross is a completely different team than they were earlier on. If they play the rest of the season the way they started in the playoffs, they will be very tough to beat.

I do know one thing; many people did talk about how New Cath would roll over anyone in their way to the title again. I strongly believed that the race for the title was going to be a lot more competitive, which it's becoming pretty clear that it is. Good luck to all teams remaining.

Actually, the Scotties had three turnovers tonight, two of them coming on muffed punts when kids were just trying to be too aggressive and make a play. But Glasgow's defense again came up huge tonight, shutting out CAL by holding them to minus 21 yards rushing (including sack yardage), forcing five turnovers and getting six sacks. After struggling offensively against Bardstown last week, the Scotties got back on track tonight and looked more like the team they have been all season. As strong as Glasgow's offense has been at times this year, it is the defense that has carried them as of late. They are one of just three teams in the state that is yet to give up 100 points to their opponents this season.

That's darned impressive after seeing CAL's rushing offense earlier this season and how they bowled over Bardstown.

I'd say that 2A is the most wide open of the 6 classes, by far.

I think so too; I kind of figured this was going to be the case not far in to the season.
