5 Old-Timey Prejudices That Still Show Up in Every Movie.

Featured Replies

It's always something stupid in those horror movies like the black guy getting caught from behind or something. that ain't real. You ain't catching a black guy from behind when he is running for his life.

If I was going to be cast in a horror movie it'd be the most expensive 5 minute scene ever.

Life with Bokeem Woodbine and the warden's daughter.

I'll add that blockbuster movies that feature race almost always have a white hero: the Help, Blindside, A Time to Kill, etc.

You can tell how many people didn't read the article lol.
Definitely. This is a very good point. A ton of questions would be answered if one would read the article.

Right now I'm thinking it's just you and I who have read it.

They hooked up but by no means did they date. Wasn't she sent away once it was discovered the baby was half black?

The author discusses this and uses those movies. This was something I hadn't ever really sat down and thought about that much until the article but it's pretty sad how much it rings true.

I'm one of those guilty of not reading the article first. But, I had the same idea!

That's classic. Randy blew my cover. I trained hard for that role. I still have scars on my knuckles from hitting that mask.

That's good stuff. I can't stop laughing. My jheri curl was dry as all get out....

I haven't read it yet but I will. I threw out Life to be funny and Monster's Ball deserved a mention. Best interracial scene ever.
