I've never hidden the fact that I do not like the NBA, so the current lone no vote stands to reason. :D

I got your back!

I mean I want the NBA to have a season even though the NBA is not my favorite sport to watch. The NBA playoffs are fun to watch, just because of the intensity all the great players are playing with. Yes they play hard in the regular season, but just seems boring to watch. It's the best basketball players in the world playing, but it is just the style of play that makes it boring to me. Especially in the regular season there is just so much one on one plays being done, and doesn't seem as much liek team play. Which I mean they are able to do a lot of one on one stuff because they are so talented. However that just is not to exciting to me to watch. Which also makes it looks like there is no defense, even though I know it's just because offensively these guys are so good.

Basically if it was a shorter season every year, then I probably would like it more. The playoffs are really fun to watch, but I really could care less about watching regular season games. They are boring to me.

I like the idea of a shorter season in general. NBA and MLB.

I like the NBA, but I can honestly take it or leave it at this point in my life. That said, I hope they get a deal done and play some ball.

I say leave it. It's more of a money thing to me though. Even though baseball has no salary cap and contracts can get crazy, it seems like NBA players fight over money a lot more. Just really don't care for the thug life that the NBA has either. And yes, I do like the NFL, and no it's not as thuggish as the NBA.

Couldn't care less if they play. But strangely enough, I admire how the players are standing strong and not letting Stern (who thinks he is a god) bully them.

I don't like horse racing but it doesn't bother me that the races continue. I don't get the sentiment or reasoning at all. On a simply human level as a previous poster mentioned it does provide jobs to other people besides the super rich.

Having worked Lightning and Buc games when I was younger, I know the vast majority of those jobs are near minimum wage and very temporary. We're talking of working at most 8 hours, if you are working security, 3 or 4 for parking, 6 tops for vending, 41 nights a year. Nice tug at the heart strings though. I still vote no.

If it makes you feel better, during the NHL lockout in 2004, the St. Pete Times Forum filled some of the game dates with extra concerts and college basketball games. That limited the effect of the work stoppage. If the NBA venues don't do that, well, it's on them.

Hey, I'm in Florida. Can't I vote twice.

The point still remains that voting no on this issue is something I can't wrap my head around. If you don't like the NBA that's fine, but to vote no means nobody gets to watch or enjoy it. I just don't understand the logic.

I voted no because there wasn't a It doesn't matter to me category. The NBA is not team basketball any more. It is all one on one moves. There is no assemblance of either team or individual defense. It has become a dunk league thanks in no small part to ESPN.

Why would my vote here in this poll prevent anybody from watching anything? Am I King? :ohbrother:

Maybe I should just remove No from the options. :idunno:
