I thought about this earlier: can you remember a less-anticipated election in recent years? With only seven races on the ballot, there wasn't a lot to talk about, but I've been truly stunned by how little interest this election seems to be getting.

I'm equally stunned. I am used to seeing commercials nonstop about the election but I have seen very few. I guess the candidates are too broke to campaign effectively.

I heard Kentucky expected a 25 to 28 percent voter turnout, that's pretty low. I voted early this morning.

It's pretty wild really. This forum is usually practically unbearable right up to an election and there has been virtually no talk about it. I myself am pretty guilty of it as the only candidate I truly care about is Gatewood and he is unfortunately not going to win but I'd still love to see him get a good chunk of the votes.

 

I've met Ken Moellman a few times and he is a nice guy with an idea that I like at face value, but I admittingly haven't done much research on my own to see if it's a feasible one.

Am I the only one who thinks the GOP challenger for AG is using a stage name to draw added attention to himself? That name just bothers me, because it doesn't fit in any nationality I've ever seen, and I'm pretty good about figuring out names and where they originate from.

^ Someone also forgot to tell him he's running against Jack Conway, not Barack Obama; you'd never know it from the way he's run his campaign.

His name P'Pool is a shortened form of Pettipool and has been that way for a couple of generations. Heard him explain it on a radio show.

Did he explain why it was changed? That's just weird.

I worked with a girl who's last name is P'Pool. And my family has close family friends named P'Pool. It's actually not that uncommon.

I'm already getting tired of the notion that Gatewood cost Williams the election. Most of the Gatewood voters I know would have either stayed at home or voted for Beshear.

I have a feeling Alison Lundergan Grimes will have her name mentioned a lot to take down McConnell.
