Honestly, I think Coach Morris will have his troops focused, prepared and firing on all cylinders this week. They're about as healthy as they've been in awhile. I know KCD likes to air the ball out, but, I think the Cards will be able to get pressure and disrupt there QB and with a finally healthy secondary with Sevic and Higginson back, I think they'll be able to contain them. I don't think KCD will be able to run the ball very effectively against Mayfields DL and LBs. I think they'll try and balance the run and pass and keep KCD off balance and it'll most likely work pretty well. I say Mayfield 55 KCD 7..

M 49 CD 14, KCD qb gets a couple off of Cards jv late

Did you guys know that last week was the 100th playoff win in school history? Only Trinity (115) and Highlands (108) have more playoff wins in the state of Kentucky. Quite the achievement!:thumb:

I did not know that, congrats Us!:thumb:

Well done Mayfield on playoff win 100!!!

As to this game, it sounds like KCD will take to the air. Has Mayfield played any teams that are throw first and/or spread offense type teams? If yes, which teams?

Caldwell Co probably threw the ball moreso than anyone else Mfd has played.. PTilghman was a pretty good passing team, as well, and had JD Harmon to throw too, but, there QB was knocked out of the Mfd game early in the 2nd qtr., so, they didn't see it as much as they normally would have. Greenwood also had a strong throwing QB, but, wasn't too effective against Mayfield, mainly because he didn't have any time to find a receiver. Marshall Co threw quite abit, mainly the short out routes, but, they were actually pretty effective with it.. Other than those, I can't think of anyone else that throws the ball very much.

Best QB we saw imo was the Caldwell QB, he had a very strong for just a freshman. The PT QB was pretty good but we knocked him out a few plays before halftime. I don't think KCD prepares us for anything

It will help us, Davis is comming back and after we shutdown the Bw run game Davis will be slinging it everywhere. Think back to the Bw game last year

Mayfield this week moved into the #6 spot nationally in all time wins overtaking Canton McKinley, OH., Congrats us!
