Paducah Tilghman sailed past Hart County and Monroe County handled Trigg County pretty well. Will this be a great game?

It will be close for the first Qtr. After that it will be a route!!!Monroe cannot handle the speed of PT. I predict 100 yds of penalty yds. for PT but win by 35. That has been PT's game all year.

I would question if Harmon is the best athlete in West ky, much less the state. He is very good, but not any better than Johnathan Jackson, and I am fairly certain that there are athletes across the state that are better than both!

In terms of pure atheticism, Harmon is superior. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's the better all-around football player.

I guess this is debatable, especially since they play different positions. Here are the stats for the two players in question in the Mayfield vs Tilghman game.

No one disputes that, but Harmon is a fine three-sport athlete and a state champion in the long jump and triple jump. He is without question the better pure athlete of the two. He's taller and rangier ans has more speed.

 

Personally, I think Jackson is the better all-around football player.

I don't wanna vote against the Falcons of Monroe County. I think anyone can beat anyone on any given Friday night, this should be a close game. The Falcons of Monroe County don't give up.

You have a very valid point there.

The Falcons have been beating themselves all season long with very poor play. They have the talent and the coaching but something is not clicking among the ranks! IMO I believe its lack of senior leadership, this team is very young and doesn't look very disciplined when they play. Something is in their heads and it will be season ending if they can't get it out. They can give PT all they want if they show up to play Falcon Football!!! If they can hold onto the Football and stop making silly mistakes this will be a great game...otherwise its PT by a lot!!!

 

I love my FALCONS, and it is challenging for all us fans to see them not play to their potential...If it does end with PT, watch out next year for they return a crap load of really good athletes!!!

My problem with Monroe is their recent struggles to finish in the redzone. Monroe's offense, is quite vanilla and their ability to finish drives recently has been startling. I think it’s time to inject a little more flavor into the scheme and start rolling Chad Wilson out with a receiver dragging, that would give Chad the ability to tuck it or hit the open receiver. Also think we need to run the FB more and I believe with the personnel we have the triple option could be a big asset. I won’t even get into my frustration with our inability to kick extra points or 15 yard FG’s. But it is time to start grooming future Falcons in the art of kicking. The one good thing about our (sometimes) stagnate offense is that the Falcon defense knows it has to come to play and play every down.

I believe the Falcons can win this game if they can play solid assignment football on defense and if (a big if) they can get the offense moving and finish those long drives that have hampered them for several games now. Our offense has the ability to control a lot of clock and put some good drives together they'll need to finish those drives with points and keep the Falcon defense off the field as much as possible.

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to bash our team or coach's. My suggestions for our offense are mainly because Chad Wilson has been shadowed the last few games and I think we need to attack the position that has been shadowing him (LB), we can do that with the FB and by using the flats. IMO we need to make that shadow(er) make a decision to stay with the QB or play the position like he's been taught, I think that moment of indecision can be big for our offense...
