I agree 100%. Problem is they have yet to show that focus. They have the players to get it done.

I think the thing about Newport is get out of the gate and get some confidence and they will win this game but if they get down then it could get bad for them quick. I'm pulling for Newport.

Owen County's Playoff record 1-11? Back in the late 70's and early 80's they were very good and I know for a fact won their region in 1980.

Everyone is talking about Owen's schedule. Does anyone remember that they beat Bourbon County and held their running back (the leading rusher in the state if I am correct) to his lowest total of the year. Only one team Owen played this season had a losing record last season. The Rebels are too disciplined, too talented and too well coached to let this one slip away. I am not saying that Newport is a pushover, but Owen wins by at least 2 touchdowns.

Thanks you aptr! I have seen both teams play and believe me Owen is a very good football team. No disrespect for Newport but Owen has speed and power.

They got my respect after their game against Bellevue. I know that Bellevue is far from being a great team, but they are far from being the worst too. A lot of people thought that was going to be a close game, including myself and a lot thought Bellevue would win closely. The game was far from close and it could have been much worst than the turnout of it was.
