Josh Watson ran back the opening kickoff back for a td.. Josh got hurt early in the game and was on crutches and wearing a knee brace after halftime..Hope he will be ok..

First congratulation to both teams for playing tonight and while HHS came out on top, CovCath at least did what some other schools wouldn't do and that is to play the game. One can never improve without at least trying and for that both teams should be proud of what each accomplished this season!

 

In my haste to get home after drooping off the equipment at CovCath after the game, I seem to have left my brief case back at school, so I won't be able to do a recap until sometime tomorrow.

Not sure who scored for the Birds in the 4th.

CCH scored with about 4 minutes left on a pass from about 5 yards out.

Jacob Noe scored the 3rd td..

#37 scored the third HHS TD and the CovCath pass was from #19 Adam Wagner to I believe #35 Mitch Rensing

Great crowd, great atmosphere at DCM as always when these two giants square off. Again, congrats to the Blueboys for stepping up and agreeing to play the Birds. CovCath has some nice athletes and a "spirit that will not die"

 

Some Highlands notables, Daniel Kremer #19 is a freak, he will flat out de-cleat you (sorta reminds me of another #19 that played for the Birds not too long ago), Pat Schoepf #30 is a load and will fit into the Highlands schemes for yrs to come. Hoge, well he is Hoge, the kid is a professor on the field, his knowledge and understanding of the game rivals any HS QB all levels period. Griffin Urlage was the man tonite on Offense as he used his speed and size to shred the Colonel D.

 

 

Oh BTW, the Highlands PA annoucer congratulated the 2011 Highlands team as Frosh Champions. Just sayn.........

BTW, rumor has it Highlands might just have a brand new pressbox for the 2012 season. You wont have to wear the safety harnesss anymore and you won't have to sign the liability waiver either. LOL.
