Harlan County travels to Log Mountain this Friday. This will be the battle of the title "The King of the Mountains". Will the Black Bears leave with and undefeated regular season or with a loss?

Who wins? And why?

I wish Harlan County could have played at least one other non-district opponent comparable to the Bobcats. I spoke with one of the assistants during the scheduling of this season and he said no one wanted to play them. Johnson Central, Belfry, Breathitt County, Hazard, Corbin to name just a few. A ten game season was in jeopardy for quite some time. It's at Bell Co and I think they have better skill players but the Bears have some muscle to throw back.

Guess that is how GRC and Harlan Co played this year. Know that GRC will travel to Harlan Co next year.

I really like this HC team. If the game was at Harlan Co I think they would win and they still may. Think this game could go either way.

Kind of like UK - UT, it is hard for me to vote HC in this one. I was an 8th grader the last time Cawood beat Bell Co. and no other team from Harlan Co (Cumberland, Evarts, or Harlan) has beat them either. I think it will be a great game though.

Good luck to Tom and Wayne. This will be a Great Football Game. Hope to see both in State Finals.

Yes, but this time all three come together to take a shot. I've always been an admirer of Coach Larkey and HC. I'd like to see them win this one and I believe they can.

Gonna be tough to tame the bobcats on Log Mountain, should be a great game.

Will ther be a webcast where we can listen to the game?

This link works most of the time for WTUK 105.1 according to some family members who live in other states. I have checked it out myself a couple of times and it did work for the Perry Central game.

I have a feeling Harlan County wins this one. They are a good looking team and they are playing each game with the attitude that they are they better team. They will not be intimidated whatsoever. I wish I could go. This will be a great game. A very physical and great game.

Cory Davenport Is going to run all over the HC defense , He will be the best player on the field friday night. Harlan County has the better QB IMO and #24 is lights out , Bell needs a good game from Polly and Osolonian.

This game is a toss up and should be one of the top games in the State of Kentucky.

Good Luck Bell County

Thank you so much. If I can get it I will try and give updates here on BGP for thoes that can't go to the game. I do hope someone will give updates if I can't.

HC has faced a team that had a player that could run all over the field, so I know they will be prepared. Like you I think this game is a toss up and one of the top games Friday night.

Wish I could go. This is the type of win HC needs! Bell Co has OWNED the mountains for years and I for one am ready to a change. I have mad respect for Bell and what they have accomplished through the years, but am really hoping HC can take this one. The last time a regular season game was this hyped in my memory in Harlan Co. was Bell Co vs Cawood in '93. 12-7 Bell Co in one of the best HS games I've watched.

That was a great one.

I have seen HC a few times this year and IMHO they were better last year. But so was Bell in some positions. I think HC defense will struggle to stop the Bobcat offense.

Bell has played a better schedule to prepare for this game and it will show friday night. HC does not throw the ball effectively and very few teams have ran the ball on Bell Co. and won. Just ask Johnson Cent.
