Doesn't Ryle also only have two losses? I thought I read in another thread that Ryle would also be in the hunt for the championship if they could win out.

 

They lost a game to Dixie which was not part of the official large school schedule. They have two losses on the official schedule, 1 to CovCath and 1 to Boone.

Highlands starting qb Beau Hoge gets hurt early in the 1st quarter and doesn't return..Rocco Pangallo comes in and does a nice job..Ryle just ran the ball down the Birds throat..Congrats Raiders..

 

Isn't Pangallo usaually a name associated with New Cath? Does this Pangallo have any relatives or ties with NCC? Just curious.

They are related to every Italian in NKy.. Pangallos, Baioni, Zimmerman etc..

Highlands changed their defensive alignment at the varsity level as well, correct?

He has been at Highlands since the 6th grade. He played in the Ft. Thomas league for one year as a 7th grader and then went back to Bellevue for his 8th grade year.

CovCath even has a Pangallo on it's Freshmen team this season. Young Mr. Nico Pangallo wearing #2 and playing DB on Defense and QB on offense, however at the moment he is out with a broken wrist or arm I believe. Very good player and a nice kid to boot!

Depends on what the definition of "down" is and what teams do you want to compare them to? Are they as good as last year, I would say no. Are they as good as this years seniors were as frosh, I would say yes.
