With all due respect - I am not sure that is the only reason the schedule is what it is.

 

Could perhaps the level of competition, the challenge, the opportunity to be truly tested, the ability to learn about your team and players by playing top notch competition week in and week out. Why could not all of that go into the mix as well. Let's say for sake of argument - that tomorrow JCPS lifts "the blockade; - do you think that T would start working the phones to schedule the [pick any JCPS school] ....{ you can throw in Doss if you like } ? I think not."

 

I agree completely. Now they're competing on a national level...and I don't think they're goal would be to aim for middle of the pack...(considering Trinity's tradition of excellence and royalty:D). They have no problem embracing their state rank, why shun the national rank. I'm not saying they should be consumed by their poll position, but awareness is inevitable IMO. Just sayin...

If I was Trinitys coach I would just to send a message to X and show them they have no chance if they meet in the playoffs!

I am by no means any Kind of "posting afficionado." Don't even try to be. Too bad you were not around in the days of LSU ROCK. Now, there was a "poster" - hardly without equal - IMVHO.

This is a special opportunity for T on a national scale. I don't know why they would not try to protect their national ranking, and even try to improve it. If X is the team in the way, sorry about your luck. I say keep the pedal to the metal and finish as high in the national spotlight as possible. Who knows what next year will bring.

I doubt very seriously they will run a fake FG, but they certainly will not stop playing.

There may be no love lost between but there is a whole lot of respect. The score will reflect the the talent level but T will not run it up hopefully they will not even win.

It's not Trinity's job to "take the pedal off the metal" in this game tonight. It's the responsibility of the St. X. players and coaches to prevent them from even having the opportunity to consider it. I have this strange feeling that in this sigle moment in time the Tigers are up to the task...............GO TIGERS!! :ylsuper:
