CCH moved the ball extremely well against LaSalle. They just screwed up when they got close to scoring.

 

Both teams moved at will against CCH D.

 

It would be a very good game.

 

I remember seeing the CCH offensive stats in a prior thread and I believe they had close to 300 yards in a half but lost by 31.

Sure it can. Prior to the game with CC, I heard quite a few Highlands fans making the comments something to the effect that other than themselves and Trinity, even on a down year, Lasalle would beat every other Ky team or would, at the very least, be a heavy favorite. I'm just curious if that "other than thenselves and Trinity" could be shrunk to just "other than Trinity" now. I certainly can't see any reason to think Lasalle wouldn't also be a pretty strong favorite over everyone in the state not named Trinity.

Stricly a rival outcome when comparing Highlands / CovCath.

Heck, CovCath was not a very good football team last yr at all and was a dropped ball away from tying the score in the playoff game. Throw the records out the window, they dont matter at all.

LaSalle means absolutely nothing to Highlands imo when comparing these types of who did what against who.

Just like when you can tell someone's not from Louisville when they say "Louis-ville" you can tell they're not from NKY when they use "CC" for the Colonels.

It is very much a match up issue. La Salle's defense is significantly bigger in the front six/seven than Highlands. La Salle's MLB Burger is a stud and difference maker. Twice he made plays that none of the Lb's on Highlands could have made simply because he is a bigger stronger player. Over all La Salle has better athletes. Having said that, I feel pretty confident that this year Highlands could and would beat La Salle. Two main reasons for that conclusion. 1 Highlands is better coached than La Salle, 2 Highlands D-backs are a better match up against La Salle's 6'6" and 6'4' Wide receivers. La Salle was able to capitalize on that size mismatch, something they would have much more difficult time against Highlands.
