Is LaSalle that much stronger than Highlands?

Featured Replies

I know it's a rivalry game. I know it was played on CCs home field. I know CC shot themselves in the foot a few times against Lasalle, but, it's still hard to dispute who had the easier time with CC.. Lasalle scores as many points as Highlands in 1/2 the time. Lasalle gives up 10 in a half, while Highlands gives up 37 in a full game.. Lasalle is considered the weakest of all the GCL teams this year.. Where would that put Highlands and how bad would it be if they played each other?

Well, in terms of Highlands vs. The GCL, we will find out later this year when HHS travels to the Pit.

You are forgetting one thing. LaSalle prepares for the heat, CCH does not. It was a heat related issue.

That doesn't even make sense. So, you're saying CCH doesn't have summer 2 a days and everyone else in the state does? I realize the game was called because of the heat, but, didn't both teams have to play in it, at least for a half? What gives Lasalle an advantage there? I don't get the point.

He was poking fun at a comment made by LaSalle's coach after the game. Atleast I think.

Thats true and I'm not too sure Elder isn't worse than Lasalle this year.

Who cares' date=' really? Stupid thread IMO[/quote']

Nothing different in this thread than in numerous other ones referencing other teams. It's a legit question. However, feel free to not respond to it if you think it's stupid and you really don't care.

Highlands CovCath game can't be compared to the Lasalle game IMO.

Sure it can. Prior to the game with CC, I heard quite a few Highlands fans making the comments something to the effect that other than themselves and Trinity, even on a down year, Lasalle would beat every other Ky team or would, at the very least, be a heavy favorite. I'm just curious if that "other than thenselves and Trinity" could be shrunk to just "other than Trinity" now. I certainly can't see any reason to think Lasalle wouldn't also be a pretty strong favorite over everyone in the state not named Trinity.

I should have clarified that the emotional highs of the game can't be compared. l

UK fball fan, you seem to taking both sides of the same issue. In this thread, you are concluding that La Salle would be a strong favorite over Highlands based on comparing scores, and yet this is what you posted in the Hazard/BC updates thread a few days ago:

"So much for the folks that said Breathitt in a rout. Just goes to show you just can't compare scores. different teams matchup better with some than they do others."

So, which is it UK fball fan? Can you compare scores or can you not compare scores? I smell a flip-flopper.:D

Like most Highlands fans, I have the option to argue what best fits the situation...:D... Seriously, maybe CC does just match up better with Highlands than they did Lasalle. Do you think thats the case or would you say Lasalles just the stronger team?

CCH moved the ball extremely well against LaSalle. They just screwed up when they got close to scoring.

Both teams moved at will against CCH D.

It would be a very good game.
