I went to this one wanting to see what both teams looked like, especially Owen County with being 4-0 before tonight. The Rebels are very good on offense with their passing game; it was very surprising to see them play this way in comparison to other teams they had in the past. Owen's defense got very lax after going up 31-0 and the offense got a little sloppy too. Between their goal line pick in the 3rd quarter and their defense playing the way it did in the second half, this game could have been much nastier for Bellevue.

After seeing this, Owen County just may be worthy of a top 10 rating for the state 2A class. They should not be underestimated, especially their passing game. I was really surprised with seeing them play tonight.

Owen County continues to win. They've got a nice team in Sweet Owen this year.

I drove by the field today at noon and there was a lot of standing water. Did it dry up?

For the most part, the middle of the field looked kind of rough, other than that, it was okay.

I agree HRC. Owen has nice size and the QB distsibutes the ball well from the shotgun. The Tigers were overmatched physically, and I'd like to see a little more creativity offensively for Bellevue, but they never lost heart. Good luck to the Rebles vs Walton Verona. I believe the Tigers may face the Beechwood Tigers next.

Does Owen County have a tight end who was offered scholarships by UK and UL?

I'm not certain, but after speaking with some of the people from Owen, they said one of their receivers was getting looks from some different colleges. I didn't get his name, but remember his number is 22 and he is supposedly 6'7.

It is, they said he played basketball too and has colleges looking at him for both sports, but saying that he would likely pursue basketball at the next level.

Very nice win for the Rebels! They seem to improve every game.

Sawyer Williams, and he's pretty good on the hardwood as well.
