The combination of Dixie's D line getting great pressure and the sheer lack of imagination when it comes to passing game strategy by Boone helped Dixie a lot.

I am guessing that the Boone coaches and fans are going to be very curious to see the block in the back call on a long Boone TD run that was called back.

Close. To be fair I watched the kid make a great cutback and didn't see the block. Actually, I'm not even sure if was a block.

 

Back was running left to right. WR was trailing the DB. Back cuts back to the left and the WR makes slight contact with the DB. I could not tell if he extended his arms or pushed.

This was the first time this year Dixie went with a four man front. As a result, they're able to get more pressure, buy they lose some speed.

So is the Dixie the Northern Kentucky 6A favorite? It changes every week.

Call was awful, but had zero impact on the game. Dixie won fair and square.

 

Felt Boone had momentum late 3rd QTR/early 4th they were driving using smashmouth, had 2nd & 1 at Dixie 40 turned to 2nd & 11 by holding call. Didn't adjust personnel or play calling and wound up punting after 2 more runs with no WR's on the field. Boone's D forced fumble at midfield mid 4th Qtr, but 2 sacks and incomplete pass later had to punt. Hats off to Dixie's defense in the 2nd half of this game they looked better than Boone's. Very Surprising...

Tons of games remaining but I think Dixie is the best offensive team in the district but that's not saying much. As bad as their defense has been they can outscore any of the other four teams. I see it, Dixie, BC, Ryle, SK, Campbell. Last one in gets a lucky trip to Shamrock land.

I think you are right. I could definitely see the KHSAA having to break out tiebreakers to settle this one!
