The hiring will begin when Obama is gone. After the repeal of ObamaCare and the other 700 or so restrictions and regulations Obama has placed on small businesses and large corporations. It's not all about the taxes..

So the American economy is being held captive by vindictive businessmen ? Elucidate some of those regulations please ?

No hostage holding.. Just not willing to invest in the environment Obama has created and who could blame them. Why would a smart businessman hire a bunch of new employees and not know what these new hires were going to cost him..

^^I thought that they were supposed to be smart businessmen who know all the answers . They should know this .^^

I think there's some truth to the bolded, but I also think there's perhaps some unnecessary hoarding going on too.

No one even knows what ObamaCare is going to cost them, much less what the cost will be after all the new regulations and Obamas proposed tax increases.

That excuse doesn't wash . The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was passed and signed into law on March 23rd 2010 . What have these smart businessmen been doing in the ensuing 18 months besides wringing their hands . Surely at least one or two of these people have read the provisions of the bill and factored in the costs .

What jobs would you have them create? In order to create jobs there has to be a need to create the job. It's not all about taxes. It's about creating an overall enviroment that is indusive to growth, raising consumer confidence to increase consumer spending.

For what it's worth, and I've asked this on here before, what percentage do you think is fair for businesses to pay in tax? We keep hearing fair share, what is a fair share?

That's the point... The ones that have even a not-so-close estimate know the cost is too high..

And how high is too high ?

Really?.....You can't be serious. You have absolutely NO idea about operating a business i see. If we have to explain it to you, then you wouldn't understand.

High enough that hiring new employees would not be profitable..

I guess I'm a vindictive consumer using your logic. I'm much more cautious about spending due to the uncertainty of the economy and my distrust of what is going on in DC. If the right Republican gets elected to the WH and I become more confident in the future of this country, my spending decisions will likely change. Why should a business owner/leader look at it any differently? Are you implying that business owners/leaders have some national obligation to spend their/their shareholders money to create jobs that aren't needed? Help me understand your post and the use of the word vindictive.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the market and the economy is more psychological than anything else. Business owners/leaders do not think that President Obama is pro business or supports a pro business legislative agenda. They are concerned. President Obama burned the bridge when he rammed Health Care Reform down the throats of Congress and the United States. He cannot rebuild it. Hillary would have a much better change of regaining the trust and confidence of the business types than President Obama does. If he gets re-elected, look for more of the same for an additional 4 years after re-election.
