This was an offense lovers kind of game, up and down the court without much defense. Boyd was just too athletic for them in the end, but Elliott Co has 5 or 6 kids who can just flat out shoot the ball. They have the ability to beat any team in this region on any given night. They just didn't have an anwer for Owens, who poured in 36.

Owens needs to be considered a Mr. Basketball contender. Whats he averaging like 30!?!?

36 points and several assist and steals.The team

did seem a little flat.Justine Moore had a double

double tonight and Mike Middleton had 4 three

Middleton was mired on the JV last year, I think more than anything because of his confidence level. The part of Owens for Mr Basketball will be interesting, esp if he performs well friday against Cov Holmes.

They only have 3 or 4 seniors on the team that really contribute, with Owens being the key figure. But the team played well tonight with Owens on bench during the 2nd qtr with 2 fouls.

Hopefully word will spread around the state about Antonio. This area needs some good publicity, and when you've got a player like Owens, you might as well pump him up.

Yeah! it was a good game. i thought Elliott did outstanding especially with 3 freshman on the floor at all times ,and sometimes 4.

Was the pace of this game fast or the defense that bad. Plus good shooting obviously.
