Homecoming game for Dixie....I look for the Colonels to give Boone all they want in this one.

 

Dixie has gone through the gauntlet so far and the schedule lightens up considerably. This may be the most closely contested matchup of this weekend. I'll go with Dixie 27, Boone 20.

Losing Bruns is a huge blow to Dixie's offense and special teams.

 

This game should be pretty close. Dixie's offense is progressing. Hatton was a nice addition 2 weeks ago, and Pfitzer has stepped up his game. Justice ran very well against Conner as he finally hit the holes hard. There have also been a couple changes along the o-line. Defensively, they still cannot tackle, and they continually lose the line of scrimmage. They will continue to have to rely on their offense. However, they have finally minimized their 2-way players. They are down to around five, and of those 2 get breaks on defense and 2 get breaks on offense. The other played all offensive and defensive snaps 2 weeks ago.

Pitzer

Pike should have plenty of help with Pitzer, Hatton, and Cohorn, (if healthy). If Justice runs the ball like he did against Conner, the passing game should be fine. As I said in a earlier post, the team that plays the best on the defense side of the ball should get the win.

I believe Bruns is out for the season and that is a huge loss for Dixie. Boone's defense has been very good and Dixie's defense has struggled. The only way Dixie wins this is Zeke Pike doing it all on offense and putting the points on the board.

I think I heard fracture in his fibula, which he played on for a week or so until the pain got to be too much and he had it checked out.

Boone Co. 28-20.

Glad Dixie has turf in place.

 

I wouldn't want to see a replay of the 2004 mud bowl between these two.
