Holmes 8 Cooper 6

Featured Replies

Another defensive struggle. Holmes broke an 80 yard run, cooper answered. 2 point conversion only difference. The game was played with Holmes back to the goal line most of the night. Colston QB'd for Holmes. They actually looked a

little better offensively, but still have a ways to go.

First I should say congratulations to the Bulldogs. They definitely have some skill on defense.

Where did they move Knox to on offense?

There were lots of penalties and turnovers, therefore, neither team could get into a flow. Much better game to watch than the score indicates. Bth teams have good athletes and defenses.

Knox sat out tmost of the 1st half, don't know why, then he played wide receiver and some defensive end.

Holmes has done a pretty good job holding teams to a low amount of points.

I would put Knox at RB. He is a tough guy to bring down. I think that would really help open up Holmes' offense if Colston is capable throwing the ball.

Congrats Holmes!

Colston throws the ball pretty well. It was his first game there he will get better. Just missed on a couple of deep one's to Peterson. Cooper missed some also. Both teams did air it out some.

Knox should probably play Off Tackle. They have enough athletes if they had some room to run.

They are an excellent defensive team starting a huge freshman on the defensive line. They do let receivers get behind them too much. It will kill them with good passing offenses where the QB can get some time. They do bring the heat on the passer, though. Highlands and CovCath will probably light them up. I don't know

if they'll do it with ease, but they'll get enough shots to put up points.

Sounds like two baseball scores tonight with this one and Carroll County's 7-2 win vs. Bellevue? :D

That freshman #74 I believe is his number will be a dominant player when he is a junior and senior. He is young but when he get more coaching and only gets better as he gets older watch out.

He is # 74. They will get him on weights to get him stronger (although he is strong right now). We have to remember he's a freshman, physically beyond his

years, emotionally a freshman. He is tough to block now, I agree if he continues to work and improve he could be special in a couple of years.

I would say 6'3 320. Good size.
