KHSAA Revises XC and Track Uniform Rule

Featured Replies

I just read that the KHSAA revised the uni rule.It now says a runner cannot be penalized if a uniform violation is not discovered prior to the event.

Makes sense.

IMO - it is about time for this change.

Don't forget ... They are also allowing watches in races!!!!

It is about time Kentucky got on board with the rest of America!!!!

Odd, all this seems quite logical.....what gives?

Really?

Maybe there's some new blood in the KHSAA and/or the KTCCCA. Maybe there's someone there in a position of authority that wasn't toilet-trained at gunpoint.

Don't know about the toilet training part, but when I spoke to Tackett about some uniform issues at last year's regional and finals, he seemed very interested in seeing that the rule was changed. Some of the things the judges enforced wre just stupid but to be fair to the judges, the rule was the rule. Glad to see the rule was changed. The old rule was stupid. My guess is that the kudos for the rule change belong going to Tackett.

Good - change long overdue. I care not who gets/deserves the credit.
