September 13, 201115 yr My wife and I booked a trip with my brother-in-law and his wife to the Grand Sunset Princess Resort in Cancun. It is in the Riviera Maya part of Cancun. Has anyone been there and have any advice or info that may be helpful? It is an all-inclusive.

September 13, 201115 yr I know it's common knowledge but don't touch the water and even ice cubes. I found out the hard way and it lasted for 2-3 days. Make sure you know your conversion rate, the cab drivers like to take advantage of you and when your drinking it makes you an easy target. Watch for little kids approaching you outside the clubs, they try to put handmade bracelets on your wrist hoping for $$$. You should have a good time, all you need should be provided by the hotel.
September 13, 201115 yr Went down almost exactly one year ago. We went down to a place called Playa Del Carmen. About an hour from Cancun. The area we went to was extremly nice. Couple things we kept in mind was to be polite as the best of your abilities and try to speak some spanish if you can. They will like you alot more if you attempt to speak their language. I can speak spanish pretty well and very much enjoyed talking to everyone. I would also recommend to always tip where you are. When I went down I went to the same bar every night and the bartender knew us after the 3rd night. I also recommend waking up one morning and seeing the sunrise. I took a great snap shot of it and I'll post it with a few other pictures in the next post. The main thing to remember is to HAVE FUN :lol:

September 14, 201115 yr Don't take taxi cab, the buses are cheap and can get you around cancun. I had a blast, but I was single too... :lol: I remember my first bus trip down there, a mariachi band walked on and started playing.
