Technically not, because they're guaranteed a playoff spot; even if it means being shipped over to District 2.

 

But getting pounded by 1A Beechwood has to be a big disappointment. The Pioneers should handle Holmes next week, but a defeat at home to 2A power NCC would be another black eye should that come to pass.

 

Realistically, what will SK's record be after the regular season?

Right now I'm guessing 4-6 or maybe 5-5. As far as the NKY 6A district is concerned, I believe that it is pretty open, however, I am giving more consideration to Ryle than I had been previously. Regardless, I don't see anyone out of this district doing much outside of the regular season.

If they don't shore up there OL and call more than 3 different plays in the game, then, yes, they're done. I was expecting more from them than what I saw. They're average , at best.

I think you're dead on with that one. They have a shot against Holmes and Campbell County, less so with Boone and Dixie, and little chance with the rest of the schedule. (Not terribly familiar with Ironton, but I know they've been tough in the past.)

Can BGP's outlaw this title? Closing the Book on any Team (especially this early in the season) is like saying "I don't believe in these kids".

 

SK has a solid program and they will be fine.

If Ironton is anything close to what their teams have been like in the past it they won't lose, it's a very difficult place to play. BUT, as long as the kids are working hard in practice, playing hard, running through the plays and on and off the field (the latter they were not doing last night), then that is all the really matters! Not all teams can have solid programs, many have a good year hear and there.
