Western surprisingly low here...

But this looks like a 1 Highlands 10 (tie) Boyle County / CovCath / LexCath / JC / Western / Knox Central / F-S / Owensboro / M-NH.... LOL

I don't know much about Western, but I find it hard to jump them over any of the above schools.

I think we'll have a better view on where Western belongs after Sept 9th.

I thought Ashland Paul Blazer would be a top 10 school.

I don't know much about them except that they came into their game with Lawrence County last week as the favorite and pretty well handled them. Lawrence County isn't expected to make too much noise this year, so even with the victory, what's the basis for putting Ashland over any of the current top 10?

Given how things have gone down the last couple of years in the playoffs, I would have to put Johnson Central ahead of Cov. Cath., at least for the present time.

I was kind of thinking the same thing myself. There wasn't much discussion that I saw about them stomping Heath last week, but I don't see why they wouldn't be counted ahead of Cov Cath at this point. Cov Cath performed similarly in week one, but Johnson Central has beaten Cov Cath the last 3 years straight. I say that that gives them an edge when it comes to ranking.

JC lost alot last year and witch makes them sort of a question mark until they play a few more games. They looked like the JC of the past few years but time will tell. On the other hand Cov Cath is looked upon as a program on the rise with the people they have back. I personally don't have a problem with Cov Cath being ranked above JC till more games are played and things sort themselves out. I think Cov Cath could be the biggest sleeper in he class.
