50 of the top high school football players in KY

Featured Replies

The first glaring omission that I see is no Cameron Vocke!! I think he would have been the states leading rusher last year if he wasn't pulled early(classy move).

This year he could lead the state in rushing also, if his coach had the mentality of a certain mountain teams coach.

It looks like a bumper crop of high school football talent in Kentucky this season.

Nationally-rated quarterbacks Patrick Towles of Highlands, who has committed to Kentucky, and Zeke Pike of Dixie Heights, who will sign with Auburn, aren't the only Division I prospects.

Josh Harris of Mason County, who's UK-bound, also figures to be in the conversation for Mr. Football, along with Central's Anthony Wales, who has a chance to break Derek Homer's state career rushing record. (Wales has offers from UK and Louisville, but is undecided on college.)

Manual's Thomas Chapman and Jeffersontown's Daniel Ross have committed to UK, and Paducah Tilghman's J.D. Harmon has been offered by the Cats.

Bowling Green's Joe Manley, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman, picked Louisville over Kentucky. Jeremy Clark of Madisonville committed to Michigan.

The state's junior class is headed by Trinity standouts James Quick, a receiver, and Jason Hatcher, a linebacker.

I guarantee you Mike knows where the kid goes to school.

Congratulations to all the kids mentioned in the article but we all know that list has several kids that could be on it thats not. I will not mention kids I know should be on the list because it makes no sense to do that. I dont understand why they would have this come out anyway. Coaches dont know all the talent around the state but they know the big names that have recieved offers already for college. There are probably 50% of these kids that have equivilants around the state.

I Find this amusing. he's a good talent but not top 50

Using the "reply with quote" button would save us the time from guessing.

It doesn't really mattter because he is extremely under the radar. Antonio Sloan Fb for Saint X is who I was speaking on.

Rule #13

Alex Mattingly at St.X is way under the radar and one of the best running and throwing QB's in the state. Great arm and quick feet which Simon Kenton clearly found out in the first half Friday. Keep an eye on this kid's numbers and see how far he carries the Tigers.
