August 14, 201115 yr Author Congratulations to those kids. :thumb::thumb: I started this thread to inform, and to congratulate these KIDS! They deserve mentioning! If people want to talk about anything else start your own thread!
August 14, 201115 yr It is what it is...It's mediocre baseball at best they put on tv..So, you think that diminishing their accomplishments is cool? Really. Dude from So.Cal was throwing 76 to finish the game. Does your 8yo do that?
August 14, 201115 yr So, you think that diminishing their accomplishments is cool? Really. Dude from So.Cal was throwing 76 to finish the game. Does your 8yo do that? 46ft..do you not understand? Most kids at this age are throwing from 50ft some 54ft..BIG DIFFERENCE!! That is one kid also. Most of them are around 63-67mph.
August 14, 201115 yr That's great for those kids.. I hope they win it all..I can't stand when people think that LL is the best baseball going on at that age. It is simply not even close..Here is where the best baseball is played at 12yrs old.... http://www.mlb.com/youthmajors/

It is simply not even close..Dude, get a grip. No one is clamoring from the rooftop campaigning for Little league. Just trying to give some KY kids some kudos. I get 46 feet. I get the baserunning differences. I think it's great that you want yours to play something else. But that's for a different thread. The kid on the mound for KY today was a beast. I think most coaches of AABC would love to trot him out there at any distance.
August 14, 201115 yr By the way, perhaps you should check the #s. MOST kids as you say still populate little league.
August 14, 201115 yr That's where I used to teach and coach when I first got out of college. I'm stoked for those kids. We played in 2 final 4's in LL when I was growing up. I still cherish those runs with my best childhood friends. Awesome experience for those kids. As for the bashing LL. Who cares! All the kids in the entire tourney are playing ball in the same dimensions.

A few folks didn't like how LL was run, so they went off and formed their own league? Why can't there be an all-encompassing league?
August 14, 201115 yr He should be dominate from those distances.. Really? If he should dominate from those distances then why doesn't everybody dominate? Because, after all, everyone in the LLWS is playing with the same rules & measurements.
