August 4, 201115 yr I played single-deck earlier this summer at Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, Iowa.Wow. I've never seen one in Indiana, Tunica, or Vegas.
August 4, 201115 yr Author Well,I was doing great last night (in video practice) but I'm getting killed today. It shows 120 cards, so I assume tha tmeans a 2-deck shoe. However, the number starts over when it gets down to about 90. Am I playing the woring strategy card?
August 4, 201115 yr I like to play blackjack. I'm not addicted to gambling. I'm addicted to sitting in a semi-circle. Mitch Hedberg

August 5, 201115 yr Not sure if you have a smartphone like an iphone or not. If so there is a free blackjack game on there you can practice a bunch. There is also a card counter app but don't think I would try that starting off. I'd also start small like a $5 min table the 1st day or so until you feel like you are ready to move up. That way you can play a lot longer until you start getting a good feel. You will get the adrenaline flowing if it's your 1st time lol. Don't drink to much caffiene before hand.

I will definitely be looking for the low budget/amatuer table.
August 5, 201115 yr Author If you're on Facebook and would like to play a few hands at my table, send me a PM or catch me on FB.

If you think they're going to let you sit there at a table and consult your cell phone, you got another thing comin'.

August 5, 201115 yr Umm...play Roulette. Please tell me you're not one of those guys that sits at the wheel playing red and black?
August 5, 201115 yr Author Is there any logical reason to change the amount of your bet as you play? It seems like each hand is a 50/50 proposition, and changing your amount would be like trying to catch a slot machine when it's "hot." Am I thinking right, here?

It seems like each hand is a 50/50 proposition, and changing your amount would be like trying to catch a slot machine when it's "hot." Am I thinking right, here? If you keep betting the same amount over and over for a long period of time you will lose. It's not a 50/50 chance on every hand. You need to ride hot streaks and change up your betting amount a little sometimes. It depends on how many decks in play but the more decks the better odds for the house.

I agree with your assessment. The only times I ever change my bet is if I'm running cold (trying to win it back quicker, I rarely do this), or if it's out of necessity (i.e. playing $25 a hand, and only have $35 dollars left).
