Who will play QB for the Camels?

I don't believe the QB job has been decided as of yet. I believe juniors, Walsh and Durham are the top contenders for the job. This is pure speculation based on things I've heard. MemyselfandI my have more input.

I understand that Coach Lickert has the team working very hard in preparation for the coming season. I have been impressed with the coaching staff that he has assembled thus far (Roy Lucas Jr., Jeff McCarthy, etc). Very experienced staff with strong values and balance. I really like that Miller will be handling the Freshman class again. He brings a certain level of excitement and intensity to the incoming class. Should make for an interesting inaugural season for the new varsity head coach. There is a great deal of excitement about the 2011 Camels in Alexandria! :thumb:

I am not sure who will be the QB but you can add another one to the mix, Jeff Skinner.

If he has added Jeff and Roy Jr he has done some very good work. Those two will be a huge help for the young coach in a big school and in big games. Nice job!!!!

This is great news for the kids in the program. They are going to finally get the coaching they deserve. Roy and Jeff are great coaches with a lot of experience. More importantly, they are "men of character". Kids will be treated with respect and coached like we all want our own kids to be coached. They will not be cussed at or called names. I bet coaches wont be dipping on the sideline like in the past. I bet the kids will learn how to watch film. Congrats Camels! You deserve it. If last years seniors would have had this staff, who knows how far they could've gone. No disrespect to Coach Styer. He just didn't have the help he needed.

Sounds like a great staff! I don't know them very well but I know Roy Lucas very well, and those kids will really like having him around..My son really enjoyed being coached by him. Best of luck to the entire program..

Are you sure about that?

What happened to last years frosh coach. Camels had their best frosh season in many years last season, and as I understand it the coach was in his first season. That Camel team was indicative of a bright future. Is he still on the staff? If not where did he go

His name is Steve Bailey..No idea if he is still on the staff..

Is he the same Steve Bailey that played for the Camels in the late 80's. That dude got a pick a game for two years. Just absalutely incredible for a little dude.

Steve is not coming back this year. He has 2 young daughters (7 & 9 - don't quote me on the age) and a son who is 2 or 3 and like Coach Styer he wants to spend more time with his family. I think the only coach from last year who is coming back is Doug Miller and he will coach the freshman so he can watch his son play his senior year at CCHS.

Yes, it is the same Steve Bailey who played for the Camels.

I agree that the Camels did well under Coach Bailey. He did a nice job for the Camels.

Which QB looked the best in 7 on 7?
