How long before KD starts getting the "he can't win big games" talk? Season four is slipping away. His teammates wouldn't get him the ball? What great player in the history of the NBA wouldn't have went over and demanded the ball in the last minutes of the game? Was there a time when Jordan or Kobe couldn't get the ball down the stretch? How about LBJ even? He's been pathetic at the end of games in this series, even game 2 was more Harden than him even though Durant hit some big shots at the end.

Game 1, 3 and 4. Biggest stage of his life. Too many times he doesn't get the ball at the end of games. What really great player would stand by and watch like he does? Brooks said he was afraid to fight for position at the end of the game for fear of getting a foul. That is pathetic.

 

Either way clock is ticking. Durant is 22. At 23, people said LBJ couldn't win. Just look at two years ago. And lets not even compare the talent on the two teams they played with. I'm not giving Durant a pass because he acts like a high school geek. Title in 3 years or he is a failure, it is only fair. Settling for jumpers. A horrible performance from deep in games 2 and 3. If the shoe was on the other foot the other guy would be a choke artist. Don't act like it wouldn't. At 22, LeBron "choked" against Boston, even though Durant's performance against defense not nearly as good has not been as good as LBJ's was in that series with less help. It is only fair.

Seems to me he's doing exactly what should be expected. His first two years the Thunder/Sonics were terrible. They've been building around him, and have showed improvement every single season. Last year they made the playoffs and pushed the defending champs to the brink. This year they improved on that and won not 1, but 2 postseason series'. Seems to me, and most likely most (excluding those that hate Durant and can't see anything without bias), that they're right on schedule.

 

The very obvious difference between him and LeBron is the Cavs were expected to win. Show me a single person who expected the Thunder to win the title this year, just one. Another major difference is Durant didn't self-proclaim himself the "Chosen One" and "the King". Durant has and never was supposed to be the player LeBron was. When you self-annoint yourself like the egomaniac LeBron you better be able to deliver.

At 22, LBJ was taking Daniel Gibson and Big Z to the Finals, closing the window of the Pistons with a historic performance. Durant has put up numbers, but he hasn't exactly dominated. Even in game 2 where they won. But, mark it down when/if KD doesn't have a title in 3 years he will get a pass.

Since you believe Durant is no better than TMac, why wouldn't he get a pass? If anything he has earned two free hall passes this season

My bias for LeBron has zero to do with his abilities to ball. I've said numerous times he's as elite as they come, and is one of the best in the game both now, and down the road, all time. I've never said otherwise. My bias and dislike comes from the manner in which the tool conducts himself. He's childish, immature, egotistical, and walks around with a feeling of self-entitlement.

I'm starting to agree about Westbrook. I've seen it brought up in other places a couple times about the Thunder possibly shipping him to the Hornets for CP3. If that happened, which I see highly unlikely, they'll win multiple rings.
