May 16, 201115 yr Author Well, the more people who come out and announce it, the more I think it helps others. There are still many people who still think it's an oddity, one who is in this thread. Didn't hear about the Suns president, yet another example that no matter who you are, you can achieve in anything you want. But as I said in my first post, when I watch CNN I will only see this guy as a good anchor. Why wouldn't Cooper Anderson come out? It seems that 90% of the viewing public knows he's gay.

May 16, 201115 yr The President of the Phoenix Suns also announced this weekend that he is gay. We do need to get to a point where an announcement isn't necessary. Is it needed now? Does anyone honestly care that this guy or the president of the Suns is gay? I bet 99% of the population couldn't pick the Suns' president out of a line up, me being one of them.

There's also an article on ESPN right now about recent Villanova graduate and former center Will Sheridan being gay. Pretty awesome article. Talks about how all his teammates knew and were accepting. Also that Jay Wright had no clue and was shocked that the entire team knew about it, and not one player ever said a word about it or treated Sheridan differently.

Whether people agree with their lifestyles or not, I believe 99% of people could really care less because everybody does it. And that includes the majority of gay people caring less.
