Heard that Hammons would be working with the Lynn Camp team.

I know it's been said, but this is embarrasssing for a school of South Laurel's stature. I can't believe they can't get a good coach. I always hear Jeff Davis' name mentioned for a lot of jobs and people on here saying he is a heck of a coach, I wonder if he applied or re-applied -- whatever may be the process. South Laurel may want to reach out to him, if not.

Aren't most teachers either have started school already or by the time they interview and hire? Would they be allowed out of their contracts at such late notice?

Districts do not have to let teachers out of their conracts if it is within 30 days of school starting. Every school district in Kentucky starts in August so anyone they offer the job to is not guaranteed they will be able to get out of their existing contract.

 

Curtis Turley is retired maybe he could coach them for a year.

The law is now 15 days instead of 30, but most schools are within the 15 days now.
