With the Rock H.O.F. inducting this year's class, who do you think are the biggest snubs left on the list?

My top 10 would be:

1.) KISS

2.) Rush

3.) Def Leppard

4.) Judas Priest

5.) Stevie Ray Vaughn

6.) The Cars

7.) Joan Baez

8.) T. Rex

9.) The Replacements

10.) Jimmy Buffet

I think Chicago. I know that everyone thinks Peter Cetera and the "pop music" machine but they were innovative, daring and great musicians in their earlier Terry Kath days. Kath deserves mention in the pantheon of guitarists. Add to that what they did with their horns, their three distinct vocals early on and I've often felt that they've been snubbed for the "hit machine" Cetera and record companies made them into. :thumb:

I agree that the early stuff was good, but many of the Cetera songs are painful to listen to. What that band turned into during the '80s went a long way toward destroying any good will from the early days. Especially those awful music videos.

Rush is without a doubt the biggest snub ever..... period. Jimmy Buffet sucks imo.

I had to think about it a bit, but I'd have to agree that they deserve to be in as well (even though I don't much care for Rush, and Geddy Lee's voice is cringe-worthy at times). They are amazing musicians.

But part of Rush's problem is there is no middle ground with them. You either love them or hate them. That's where they lose a lot of people.

Jimmy Buffett is indeed awful. He can go into the Suck Hall Of Fame along with BonJovi, The Eagles, most of the hair-metal bands, all of the Nirvana/Pearl Jam ripoffs from the '90s, Dave Matthews Band and all the copycats, and hey, let's throw Garth Brooks in there while we're at it.

Kenny Chesney's people have contacted me and they'd like you to know Mr. Chesney is very upset about this obvious snub.

One more question. Does Contemporary Christian suck enough to garner it's own wing?

I thought the Eagles were already in there. What does the RR HOF use to let people in? GFRR sold out Shea stadium faster than the Beatles. Have seven Platium Albums. Many Hits that are household songs. I'm your Captain/We are an American Band/Locomotion/Footstopin Music/Some Kind of Wonderful/Bad Time/Rock & Roll Soul/Inside Lookin Out/Heartbreaker/Time machine/Shinin On/ Oh well. The Eagles?

Like Baez and Buffet both but don't think they fit in a Rock and Roll HOF.

The Eagles were inducted in 1998 despite the objections of Jim Shue. :D

I'm a HUGE Eagles fan and he and I will just have to disagree on that point.

Chesney's got some more dues to pay, but he's definitely on a HOF fast track.

If I can help it, I prefer not to even acknowledge that atrocious "Christian Rock" stuff.

Check out this discography:

He has 17 years of suck on his resume. I don't know much else the man can do. But like any elite performer, I'm sure he will surprise me.
