All I can say is WOW. Vic Anderson(Tim Doughtery,Alex Kramer,Michael Mattingly, and on and on) did not even make all- district.A very poor show of sportsmanship on the voters part.

These things have always been ridiculous. Fortunately, colleges pay little attention to this tripe so it doesn't end up harming the kids who deserve recognition but don't get it. Again, its all about FAIRNESS, which has no place in competetive sports . . .

Vic Anderson didn't play against many of the district teams, and coaches vote for who played best agains their team. Same story with Kramer, as I recall. Mattingly never had a shot for first team, the district is loaded at RB and as good as he is, he's second fiddle in X's RB core. Who won the kicker spot, Fangman? He was pretty good, too, you know, doesn't have Dougherty's leg, but didn't Dougherty's accuracy get challenged a little bit late? Whereas Fangman was celebrated for ice in his veins by a few coaches.

 

All in all, the only one that I think was pushed out that should have been a lock is Dougherty.

All in all, on both first and second team, X placed 13. Male placed 18, and Manual placed 16. So flip 3 positions, and X out gains all other teams on the list. It doesn't sound like they got jobbed to me, unless you assume that because they were district champs, they deserve all the slots.

better look again by my count Manaul had 17 individuals named(how did they finish 3rd) Male had 11 individual players of which 6 were at 2positions &1 at 3.St.X had 12 individuals. It just goes to show good coaching and teamwork make champions.

If you look at the Region 2 District 3 team, there are NO members whatsoever from John Hardin. Were they being boycotted? :irked:
