All we know is that he takes the blame in the media and it isn't always true. Do you really think he stands up in films and says, "Yeah coach, I should've thrown the out route 5 yards deeper, even though the route is a 10 yard route and the receiver ran 15".

 

1) If he's that bad he wouldn't keep his job and,

 

2) offensive coordinators, QB coaches, and head coaches are smarter than that.

Chad got called out by a coach in January of 06 in a playoff game that they were winning and swung at that coach and Jon Kitna got cut because of it. Chad later demanded a trade and the Skins offered a Godfather deal and Brown passed on it. What good would it do to call out a guy that's been called out and nothing changes and in fact his actions are encouraged?

A leader doesn't call out his team mates a leader gets everybody focused on playing their best and getting the win.

I did not say he did not...I am saying that is how I feel it should be handled.

CP is not the only player and/or coach that should hold others accountable. Just as he should be held accountable for his actions.

I believe he did in the only way he could without causing a mutiny by Owens and Chad.

Maybe he took the blame because he felt guilty looking around the locker room knowing he was going home to 80 MILLION DOLLARS. Being a leader doesnt include crying and quitting in the off season. Wanting to be traded is one thing but the trade me or Ill go home is just plan sad.

 

I have no problem with what Palmer did. He played hard all season (please realize that playing hard does not mean playing well).

 

Palmer knows that demanding a trade won't work. So, he one-upped those who have demanded a trade in the past & has stated that he'll retire. I have absolutely no problem with it at all. I just wish that the press would stop quoting unnamed sources & confidants, but that's a much bigger problem than Carson Palmer.

I don't think every team would have drafted the most out of shape player in the draft!

 

Technically, he wasn't out of shape at the time of the draft; his issues started after it. Regardless, I would have preferred another OT over him.
