Although I believe their fans are somewhat arrogant, I guess that comes with success. .

You have a fan named Yosemite Sam who came on here a week ago after we beat LCA and said "your season is over the jumpers are coming and you have no chance" . Then this same class act went to the Btown Danville thread and told Btown to get ready for the jumpers. If that is not arrogant I dont know what is. 90% of every fan base are good people who just support a team you are making a judgement based on th 10%. You would not like it if i judged you based on Yosemite Sam .

Dozer, i think what Jumperfootball is trying to say is that NCC has the right to be arrogant because they have a great program which has had success for as long as i can remember. Good luck to the Breds next week and congrats to the Briar Jumpers on another great year.

Arrogance is not a trait anyone wants in my opinion I believe cofidence is a better word if that is the case.

10%? The majority of the things I heard at the ballgame last night from the other side of the stands were terrible. Not exactly something you would expect from the fans of a religion-affiliated private school. One loud mouth fan on the internet is a whole different thing from a legion of fans in person.

I remember an entire crowd of boos when NCC first hit the field sir so i think anything you hear after that is fair game. Do tell some of the things that offended you so, if i had to guess you were more offended by the fact that you were losing and put us under a microscope. Honestly i dont know what you expect for all NCC fan's to be standing at the gate with a welcome basket and a good luck kiss, The fact is we do not want you to win and thats how I personaly act in the stands. I cheer loud when things go our way and boo when they dont.

I thought it was a pretty dead crowd from the cold Friday night.

Similar to the first Bellevue/NCC game played in the monsoon.

Now if you really want to see fans into a game I nominate the Bellevue/Beechwood game this year and the Boone Co/Ryle game and the Newport/Lloyd and NCC/Bellevue playoff game.

Dozer, if you had an entire crowd of boos on your home field then I think you need to talk to your home fans and tell them to get out and support the Breds. The game was at your field and if you really had any true fans then they wouldn't have been booing you. If you're being booed on your home field then I would think you have a bigger problem considering you just made the state finals. I guess if you're fans can't give your team a good luck kiss against a 'lil ole team from the mountains then you should just assume the position and kiss your --------errr congratulate Mayfield.....

No big surprise! I have said all along that NCC would win this one! Somerset was a good team but just didn't have the talent. Paintsville was a good team and could have beaten Somerset on their home field if not for a blocked field goal and an interception deep in Somerset territory. Having followed the teams, it was easy to see that NCC was on another level than Somerset.

On another note, Mayfield will be able to hold their own with NCC and should beat them!

Y'know though Paintsville didn't ask Somerset's permission to play with them. Paintsville didn't give the game to Somerset--Somerset took it from them. I don't think anyone from Paintsville asked Somerset to block that field goal or intercept that pass. The fact is if there wasn't a 16-4 (look it up) difference on penalties the game would have been over at halftime. The fact is Pugh was over rated and cost Paintsville the game with his turnovers and lack of running ability. If that game is played 10 times Somerset wins 9. The Jumpers weren't good enough to beat the Breds but they were the class of the mountains this year and Paintsville was fortunate to catch us on one of our bad days. Otherwise you would have looked like a poor imitation of Pikeville who couldn't come close (is 35-7 close?) to touching us.

Who stood out on Newcath's D? I think NCC played a great game, and with a little fine tuning this week may just win a state championship against a heck of team in Mayfield....Can't wait til Saturday!

What mountain is Somerset near??

Sorry by entire crowde I was saying of Sommerset fans we had not even seen the NCC boys start to come out yet when they did we quickly silenced the boos. But I can't recall a game where any NCC fan booed the opposing team upon entry to the field.

Great Job NCC! Win State! :thumb:

If Paintsville was fortunate, than what were we at Lynn Camp playing Somerset 41 to 40, when Somerset didn't lead until the final 2 minutes of the game? Can't blame penalties on that game being close. I watched the Paintsville and Somerset game, and wished both teams would have played like that against us. Somerset ended up being the the top team in the region, but saying they were the class I don't agree with. This was a wide open region, that saw that saw all the big games in the region end with the home team on top. No there wasn't stand out in this region. Blaming a KID for a game and calling him overrated as player, is totally uncalled for. Since Somerset was having a bad day against Paintsville, I guess he wasn't, considering the way he played against Evarts and Lynn Camp. I would say that he was. It was said by someone else from Somerset they want a best of 7 series with NCC, first lets have a best of 7 series in region 4.

I was there at the game and I did not hear anything bad coming from the Ncc section of the stands. Perhaps you have "rabbit ears" :D
