Good win for the Birds, Highlands shot 69% from the field and won by two and they play hard and can make some noise later this year.

HC needs to work the middle more with less perimeter, such a low shooting percentage should be expected when the majority of your shots are threes.

Stewart carried the Birds tonight. HC is relentless with that press most of the Bird points were on shots within 8 feet from breaking the press. Crowley also had a nice ballgame. I felt for Jake Burger at the end there, he had brought them back and then tried to penetrate losing the ball creating the final play.

 

They can beat CovCath again on a neutral floor. Birds showed nice character bouncing back with the tough road win.

The other thing is according to the stats, Highlands had 23 turnovers, and still won? HC obviously did not play like they did against CCH the other nite.

Birds had 8 turnovers in the last 2 min it seemed especially when Dean left the game. Stewart hit 2 Fts to put HHS up 54-46 and then HC went on a tear to tie it. Then Stew was there to follow the miss.

I didn't recall noticing that when looking at the stats, and in fact according to them, they had 7 in the 4th, with 4 being in the last two miinutes.

Other than Broering being 5/9 from 3 and Thompson being 3/7 the Indians had a very rough night shooting.
