No matter how anyone tries to spin it St. Johns just flat out embarrassed Duke, it was a good old fashion behind the woodshed butt kickin'. 15 points? This game wasn't as close as the score indicated. Some of the Duke fans are the riot with the excuses, arguments and explanations.. 93-78..... St. Johns blew Duke out of the place. They didn't have to be the best team all season, they just had to be and were the better team on this date. Absolutely much better today. Duke tends to get pantsed by some team, somewhere in the season. I am quite certain they'll bounce back. I sure wish they had Kyrie though.

Who is making excuses for Duke's play today? :confused: They were flat out awful, and that usually happens 1-2 times a year for some unknown reason. Forget about it and move along to the next one...

Almost every year. I am not concerned by this loss. Duke has always struggled when it shoots poorly. If they shoot average, they win.

Usually when a Big East team blows their doors off (GTown last year, Nova in the Sweet 16 in 09) it's a big name. Every year Duke gets destroyed by a middle of the road team that will struggle to make the tournament? Come on man...

January 30, 201115 yr ^ I just went back about a decade, and there are a bunch of midseason losses to unranked teams. It happens to everyone. St. John's caught lightning in a bottle, and Duke didn't feel like playing until about 2:30 this afternoon. No worries.

January 31, 201115 yr Ugly embarrassing game that all Duke haters love. It's all good. Last year Georgetown and North Carolina State embarrassed them in the regular season and it amounted to absolutely nothing other than 24-48 hours of fodder for the Duke haters. Loss #2. Oh. No.:scared:
