I don't think they will reach terms by Weds @ Noon. Sounds like St. Louis is going to roll the dice and see what he gets offered and then go from there. I think that's the best thing they can do from this point honestly. The only thing that worries me is Pujols going to the Cubs.

I don't know honestly. I have grown up with Pujols. He has been my biggest role model, but the Cards are my team. If he ends up in KC or with the Angels then I'll be a big fan of him still. If he's in a Cubs uniform I'll throw up.

It could negate the Cubs, but one, I don't think they'll be out of the race this year at all and two, I think Albert will have a monster year. I know I'm really going out on a limb there saying Albert Pujols will have a big year, but I just feel this one.

The Cubs clear off between $45 and $55 million after 2012. They have no organizational depth at first base and it's believed they may be able to fill some holes at other positions from within the organization after 2012. They signed Pena to a one-year deal with the intent of making a serious pitch for Pujols.

I actually disagree. I think the Yankees are probably the only club dumb enough to it and as much as they regret the ARod deal I don't think they would even do it now.
