I would disagree. I think the Packers are on par with the top teams in the league. They're good enough to win any division you put them in, IMO. Especially when they're healthy (or healthier). What they suffered with injuries this year is ridiculous. I'd rate them ahead of Baltimore for sure.

 

I also don't see a huge difference between the AFC and NFC North. Both divisions had two good teams and two bad teams. The Packers and Steelers are close. The Bears and Ravens are close...both have good defenses and inconsistent offenses. The Browns, Lions and Vikings weren't good teams this year, but they frequently played opponents very tough and scored a few good wins. The Bengals were bad.

I think you could say the same thing about Pittsburgh and the IR anyway. Starting LT, RT and best DL(while not on IR, may as well have been) and still in the last game.

Anyone else lose respect for Tomlin when they were showing the Terrible Towel special last night, and he said that to him it was as reverent as the country's flag?

 

Tomlin maybe could have used a dfferent comparison/analog but NO, I knew what he was talkng about and imo so did everyone else. Tomlin has always been most respectable toards the media,public and I have never had a problem with anything he has said. I believe the onl ons that would are the ones that are just looking to get something started.

That is why imo McCarthy should have been C.O.Y. way before Belichik, the Packers were playing with 15 players on IR and they make the playoffs, then they win 3 games on the road to ge to the Super Bowl.

BTW, Madden 2011 picks the Steelers 24-20. It's hit 6 of the last 7 and came close to the score a couple times.

Both Pitt and G.B. are well deserving and should be in this game. Should Pittsburgh be playing anyone other than the Packers I would be pulling for them.

I am pumped for this Superbowl. Two traditional NFL franchises with a great following.

While I may be totally off base here, I think that the Packers would finish 3rd in the AFC North having to play that schedule. I also think that the final 4 teams in the AFC are all better than GB. Does that mean in a one game setting that the Pack can't win? Absolutley not, they can and very well may win this game. However, I think the Steelers will win as long as they don't turn the ball over more than once.

Beat the Jets 9-0, lost to the Dolphins, Redskins, and the Lions. Again, I may be wrong, but I just ain't convinced. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

I don't know who has the most talent, but Green Bay is in the top tier. They're as good as any team in the league. On paper, I like them a little better than the Steelers. But, it's hard to quantify Roethlisberger and his ability to make key plays on paper. This Super Bowl is similar to last year's in that two teams who are fairly similar are facing off.

 

I've been back and forth. I think Green Bay is the better team, but its close, and its hard to pick against Big Ben and Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, I'm going to. I think Green Bay gets it done.
