From what I understand, W-V missed a shot to tie with :30 left, don't know if it was a two or a three. Highlands stretched it out at the foul line.

I think Walton had a little bit of a let down from the class "A". But, Highlands made some very big plays. The game was back and forth for most of the game. Walton lead by 1 at half and the final score was the largest lead of the game. Schaeffer was a difference maker tonight. She hit some very big shots plus blocked at least two 3 point shots that would of been big if made. Walton did have an open 3 for a tie with about 30 seconds left, and then had to start fouling. Very impressed with Schaeffer and Conner for Highlands.

Nice win by Highlands. It is tough to play that first game right after the "A" tournament but you have to give Lady Bluebirds credit.

She could actually be a frosh by age, but apparently was allowed to skip a grade in middle school

Another sophomore. Good size, with nice touch. Jesse is a physical player who also runs the floor well. She will have a very nice career at Highlands.

Does he play JV or varsity? I saw their JV team and thought there was some decent talent.

The let down from winning the all A definitely played in Highlands favor tonight. The girls will be okay, good luck in Richmond represent the 8th well.

How can anyone that is trying to make a name for themselves let down when given a chance to beat a ninth region team that year in year outis one of the best. Sounds like an excuse.

Walton always seems to struggle against the better 9th Region teams. When was the last time they got a quality win over the 9th? I wouldn't consider beating NDA a quality win.
