Royals "should" get to 15 wins this year, if they do, it will mark 20 straight years of 15 wins or more. They haven't had a season with less than 10 wins in over 30 years. They have only had 5 losing seasons in 51 years of basketball.

 

Mason County will be fine, this past decade has spoiled people a great deal.

 

I said it in the prediction thread, Central is obviously a pretty good team. They are playing in a brutal region, but how about we give them some credit and not how bad the Royals are. Mason County is merely a "good" team this year, I know that's shocking, but they are just "good" no more, no less.

15 might be a huge stretch over the next couple of years, hopefully no one will jump ship from Fleming County over that time period to help extend that streak:D

O' Hearn may leave after this year, because unless major transfers come into the Mason County area(as has mysteriously happened over the years), he is really going to have to coach things up for awhile. They'll have Black next year, but no Gilbert, Setty,Miller or Lofton- types all the way down into middle school. Might hear crickets in the Fieldhouse

 

Coach O'Hearn is an outstanding coach Mason Co will be a top 5 team in the Region next year at least, maybe top 3.

This is the way I was seeing Mason Co pre-season, but many Mason Co faithful was giving me a hard time. We are: "#1 untill we are knocked off", Being ranked in the Cats Pause as the #1 team in the 10th also has not helped Mason Co either. Some of the Mason Co posters are being awful quite now.

Nobody is disputing the fact GRC has choked the last two years.

Why should they be down this year with 4 players returning with starting experience and ranked #1 in the region? Believe me I am not counting out Mason Co come post season, especially with home court advantage. Any team can be beaten on a given night....believe me I know that.

So much for the 16-20 point home-court advantage that some were talking about in the predictions thread. Looks like the actual home-court advantage turned out to be negative 3.
