I've almost completely stopped reading newspaper comments. The cruelty and lack of empathy are so disturbing that I don't want to participate by reading.

There were some bad ones on here a few years back about a guy found dead behind the Kroger in Latonia. I remember being disappointed then.

When people have no accountablility, it is amazing what colors they show.

It is very sad what happened. I do agree that they all should've had life vests on. I've been out on the river and even in the river without a vest on and looking back at it I can't help but think about how naive and irresponsible my decision was. The current in the river, along with what else can be found in the river make it very dangerous. In this story I just hope they're able to recover the young mans body to provide some closure for his family.

Yes it was the boat that capsized and yes after a few phone calls the comments were removed. I just cannot understand why people can be that cruel .

 

I make it a point not to read any comments on these news stories as there are always sick people out there who get their jollies on the tragedies of others.

Unfortunately they did not find him. The search was called off Wed. night.

They did find the boat in the general area where he was last seen. Just a terrible situation anytime something like this happens.
