Apparently Vaught backed off of his original statement... Now says Minter is the real hire. Hopefully GT is still hearing the same things he was earlier.

 

The original info was that Minter was the hire. I'm guessing my source just figured with the Shannon info getting out there that they would both share the job. FWIW Minter is an excellent DC...

I have no doubt he's a great DC, and I would be very happy with the hire. Shannon would just be a game-changing hire. Instantly opens up a whole new world of recruiting.

Shannon really could have helped UK in Florida. The man knows defense too.

I doubt we'd get him but I voted yes to the idea.

Doesn't sound like UK will be getting Randy Shannon now. Bummer. Though Minter is fine without a doubt.
