Very good point some of the past Holmes teams probably would have lost their cool, maybe blown the game and picked up a few T's as well...I love to see the young guys keep their cool and fight through some adversity...

 

The difference between this years' and last years' team is that this group works well together and there isn't as much one on one play.

 

Henley's system obviously worked to great success with three state semi final appearances and back to back state championship appearances, but had that group ran the system that Booher runs, it would've been unfair to other teams.

 

There isn't as much standing around on offense, and everyone is involved at both ends of the floor, hence the Dogs having 6 different guys score in the first quarter alone.

 

I think the first true test comes Saturday at NKU when Holmes takes on a team that can match their athleticism...Cincy Aiken.

The definition of palming did more to confuse than enlighten. What does "more than a handshake" mean? Also, how can you talk about plaming without defining what is permitted and what is not regarding touching the ball on the side. In the past, you had to put your hand under the ball. The definition dels with perpendicular. Obviosly, "more than a handshake gived the dribbler some leeway, but the rest of the defintion would not pass muster in an English composition class.

It's simple (no handshake discussion needed). If the ball comes to a rest , as slight as it might be, it's a violation.
