May 29, 201115 yr Fair to say he's off to a slooowwww start. Yep. he will probably come out of it and go on a major tear for a couple of weeks. Classic Adam Dunn. Too bad the team he is on will be out of the race by then, so any games he does win for them are too little too late. He may still get his big numbers. He always does.
May 30, 201115 yr I've always felt that Dunn was a player that wouldn't age very well, but it's shocking to see him fare so poorly so far in Chicago. He may be one of those guys that doesn't take to DHing very well, as seemed to be the case with Pat Burrell in Tampa Bay. Or he may just be in a slump.
June 10, 201115 yr .178 avg. 6 hrs 25 rbi. 81 SO in 55 games. White Sox are trying to get back in the race despite Dunner's prolific slump. Thank God the Reds got rid of him when they did.

In addition, never plays for a winner, hmmm Reds (when horrible), traded to a contending Diamondback squad that then falls out of the race. Off to the cellar dwellar Nats, and now the difference maker for the Pale Hose. :puke:

Cincinnati's run to the division title last year had a lot more to do with the development of guys like Votto, Bruce, Stubbs and the pitching staff and the acquisition of Rolen that Dunn leaving. Are you telling is that Dunn instead of Gomes in left field last year would have caused a collapse?

Plus they were under .500 for that year and the year after that.. Had nothing to do with him.

I have well chronicled hisprolific slumps as a Red that as either the highest or 2nd paid player on the team just killed the Reds. The swoon in Sept. the one year they had a shot, and it goes on. The apologists will never get it as all they ever saw was 100, 40, 40, which not once lead to a winning season. Yep I know, pure coincidence. Do you think Walt would have unloaded him if he thought he needed Adam Dunn to win, no way. So, History, Walt Jockety, and a majority of MLB GMs have a certain opinion on Mr. Dunn and his value to a club, and the apologists have another.
