Do the Harlan County Black Bears have enough nickles in their pocket?

Featured Replies

I really like two things about Harlan County, they came full circle beating Pulaski County after an opening blow out and Harlan County has a very good coach in Tom Larkey.

On the flip side, I don't think the Black Bears have enough nickles in their pocket to compete with even a mediocre Highlands team?

Agree? Disagree?

I don't think so either. But that is why you play the game. Coach Larkey has beat Highlands once so you never know.

They may not need a nickel. Depends on if the have an Ace in the hole. :D

If HC can turn HHS over and find a way to run the ball, they have a chance. Outside of that, HHS is definetly the favorite.

From what I read earlier about a coal mine donor, they have a million nickles.

Wouldn't that be twenty million nickles?

Yes it would be and it still will not be enough!!!

Any chance the 2 teams get together and make this an early start since it is the day after Thanksgiving? Perhaps 6:00 PM? Since no school for either team, should be no problem getting there. Considering the lengthy drive home, that 90 minutes might be very valuable.

I second that!! Better yet, how about a 1 PM start?? Or 3 PM? Doubt the home team will go for that.

Go Birds...Beat Bears!

Technically "full circle" means back to where you started. I digress.

Don't think so. There are people who still have to work.

Zero incentive for HC to move it. Of course, Dale can use even that non decision as a motivation. :D

Yeah I am sure Coach Larkey will use Highlands as trying to run roughshot over the home team and try to force them to change the game time because its Highlands as motivation too. It does work both ways you know.

Work with me Clyde, use the urban dictionary...

I think Coach Larkey has a better chance than most to pull the upset. He has been there ,and done that. His kids will be ready to play the game of their lives. Harlan Co. must force a couple turnovers and be able to run the Football, then they have a chance.

Man I sure hope not. Like others said, some people still have to work. Half day anyway. I know you are used to the 6:00 start of Freshman games, you will get used to the 7/7:30 game times. Changing times just throws a wrench into the whole Friday night football feeling. Unless of course it's Sat. at 3:00 on Dec. 4th.:thumb:
