There are several other parking lots for the school across the bridge.

It will be money well spent. Look at the kids it will touch and what it will do for the city of Harlan. Priceless. It's good to see a school system willing to go the extra mile for their sports teams. IN THIS DAY AND TIME IT'S EASY TO SAY WE CAN'T AFFORD THIS OR THAT. Great to see this system go to work and do something positive for their school. Hats off to Mr. Saylor and the board of ed.

It's definitely a long trip — a mile or so from the Ohio line to about 20 miles from the Virginia line.

The school system would have still funded the project but construction would have been started at a later date when they got more funding to fund the project.
