Like I said we'll know more after next week. I've been around T, X, Boyle, Highlands, Lex Cath, Belfry etc. I really think Bell is peaking at the right time and the only flaw I've seen is coverage team on special teams. They were up like 35-0 on Johnson Central at one point I think. The beat Harlan Central 30-0 or so too so we'll get a look there too. Boyle/Bell has been the anticipated matchup all year. Boyle deserves the respect too.

 

It's much easier to beat a team like Johnson Central that's one dimensional, than a team like Trinity who is balanced and can run or throw the ball with great success.

 

I also think a healthy Highlands team would be better than Bell too, but we'll never know so this is just MY OPINION and pure speculation.

Yes, but they are 6A and thus no doubt why the thread starter limited this discussion to the first 5 classes.

That may be true, I have no idea, but if they are dodging Highlands, it has nothing to do with dropping to 3A.

After seeing them tonight, Bell could very well be the best team outside of 6A in the state.

Dudley personnally told me himself last January that at all costs he did not want to play Highlands. At the time he was worried about the new alignment and said, "if Highlands stays in 5A, Bell will stay in 4A. If Highlands gets moved to 4A, Bell will hopfully be moved to 3A or ask to be moved to 3A or 5A". Can't blame the guy, I wouldn't want to have to get thru Highlands to get to state either.
