Fairview has a pretty good team as we in the Burg found out. Easily could be us playing LCA but thats the breaks. After playing Fairview, and seeing LCA on film I have to give the nod to the Eagles. I just think they are too well disciplined. Oops...thats the LCA Eagles I'm talking about

LOL I probably should have saved my message with a smiley face - no nerve hit - but I do think it is time that people grow up and stop the public-private crap! I just didnt think it was called for to make his post with that caveat. Pull for whoever you want and be a great fan of whatever team - but to bring up Private-Public - silly....I believe there stil may be another thread around here for that discussion - but probably not since it died about 3 years ago.

YOU are the one who brought up your logic or reasoning as PUBLIC school as to why you voted for Fairview...I was commenting on that as "pathetic" - all you had to sya is "I want Fairview to win" or "I am pulling for Fairview on this one"....but NOOOOOOO - you gave the reason as to WHY - because they are Public...which is fine if you really feel that way - i could care less...but I get tired of seeing that pub-Priv issue raise its ugly head. capiche?

Yes I would have replied in the same way...it is the same cynicism and attitude either way you look at it - there is really no place in this world where that type of thinking belongs - whether we are talking about Race, Religion, Politics, etc - all men are created equal and you respect your fellow man. Again, it wasnt your prediction but the logic you expressed behind it that got me - no problem here.

:lol:I have my felings about public vs private and all of that but imo that is for another forum. Private school or not teams in our district have to play LCA, its mind over matter. I don't mind at all because it doesn't matter .

Point is that two teams are going to play each other and if one is worried about the other being private then that puts them behind before any preparations for the game even start. JMO

I know that Raceland had enough problems matching up with LCA (as was clearly evident last week) and not one of them was bc they are a private school.

I didn't mean to hi jack the thread, just that this is about a football game.

 

Now as for this footbal game, I believe that LCA's experience in big/championship games and far more playoff experience will really work for them. LCA has "been there and done that".

Fairview has a very good football team, no question about it. Fairview has a strong ground game and an excellent defense. LCA plays great defense, can mix up the run with the pass on offense and they excel in both. LCA's special teams are imo a HUGE advantage. Special teams make a big difference and the LCA kicker is great. Should this one come down to putting a kickoff deep and unreturnable (is that a word?:lol:) or a FG then LCA has a definate edge.

I predicted and am pulling for LCA.
